      At first, I wasn’t really sure what to do for this course. From what I understand when the lecturer explained about this course is that, we had to teach the secondary school students some components of the subjects that we have learned. Pretty hard if u ask me because our level is obviously not the same. And on top of that, we must make sure that at least they understand some of the stuffs that we are talking about if not all. And so, it begins.

      Before going to the school for real, we had to attend a seminar held by our lecturers. This seminar was intended to help us fully understand about the things that we will be sharing/teaching and this seminar also help us to practice doing some of the activities that we will do at the school. This seminar did help a lot of us as we were still quite clueless before that.

      On the first day of the activity, we arrived at the school around 8.45 in the morning. The place is quite far from our residential college because it took us around 30 – 45 minutes to get there. Before meeting with the students, we gathered with our lecturer and she reminded us about the things that we need to do and gave us words of encouragement seeing that some of us are nervous. And so, the event begins.

      We started off by introducing ourselves to the students. They are all form 4 students by the way. Some of the students seem shy and some seem so energetic and talkative. Nevertheless, they are all good students because each and every one of them gave their full attention whenever we were explaining at the front. They all had their notebooks with them and they wrote down anything that they found important. The surprising thing was that, they were not science stream student. But they gave their full commitment and attention during the program. Props to them.

      Taking this opportunity, I would like to thank all the lecturers involved especially Dr. Puah and Dr. Kee. They spent lots of their time managing this program, finding funds and settling all the paperwork. I am very grateful to them because from what I heard from my friends, for this course, we actually had to gather our own fund and making our own proposal. But none of that had to be done by us because our lecturers have handled it. I am grateful and thankful beyond words. 

      Not to forget my friends. All of them gave their full cooperation and commitment throughout the activity. Not to mention, this program was meaningful and enjoyable because I get to experience it with them. For me, it was truly an eye opening experience and a memorable one.
