As a Science student, I think science is very important because it has an influence on many aspects of our life, including food, energy, our daily activities and more. I loved Science ever since I was in primary school. Everything about science is interesting, and I want everyone to also see that, which is why we visited SMK Lembah Subang to raise awareness among the students regarding the significance of science in life.

This program was a brand-new experience for me both from a learning point of view and performance-wise. I had first-hand experience facilitating a program for my Social Engagement subject, and although it had been a generally enjoyable experience, I did make several mistakes during the task. Despite that, I acquired some valuable lessons in the process. During the program, all the facilitators taught the students some basic science, and the feedback that we received was excellent. The students were so excited during both the learning and hands-on session. Two facilitators were responsible for each group and worked together to assist the students during the activity. Apart from that, we also conducted a quiz session and the student received prizes for every correct answer. The session was one of the most fun and entertaining session. 

The program was held on the 6th and 13th of March 2020. When we arrived for the first time at the school on the 6th of March, the students were very curious about the activities that we were going to conduct which was unsurprising since most of them were not Science course students. We faced a different atmosphere when we returned to the school on the 13th of March 2020. The students had these excited looks on their faces looking forward to the activities. This shows that they were enthusiastic to learn more about science.

Undoubtedly, this program was a platform for us, Biomedical Science students, to share our knowledge about science and related aspects to it to other people. It has taught us valuable leadership qualities that we need to possess in order to become a great leader. However, it saddens me a bit to see that the students did not know much about science. Therefore, my teammates and I worked very hard to make sure the students understand what we presented to them on that day. This program has also taught me on how to become a motivational speaker. I am happy to know that my teammates and I could inspire and motivate the students to see how interesting science is. It helps to build up my confidence in socializing with people aside from my friends. I even learned how to conduct the session professionally, how to manage and divide tasks within the group and the importance of teamwork. The program was a hit and the students said it was very exciting, and that they were looking forward to such programs in the future.
